Migrant Support Fund
One of our church members has brought it to our attention that the fear being experienced by some members of our community is real and the need for assistance has reached a critical state. We are currently aware of eight such families in Kasson who live in constant fear and isolation. A group of concerned citizens have formed to offer assistance but your help is needed.
To meet the needs of these families, fund raising efforts have begun. Children’s coloring pages have been sold for $2 each and amazingly we have already raised $175 in just one week. Larger cash donations are also on the horizon.
A Migrant Support Fund is being established at St. Peter’s modeled after the already existing diocesan fund. This will allow donations to be made via St. Peter’s under our non-profit status. Donations can be made by check (made out to St. Peter’s Episcopal Church with a notation to “Migrant Support Fund”) or by scanning the PayPal QR code below.
A Place at the Table
We are looking for service organizations, individuals, other church groups, etc., to help with serving these meals. We currently serve around 50 people and can help with the purchase of the food. A coordinator from St Peter’s would be present with your group to help with the logistics of setting up, serving and cleaning up. If you would like to assist us in this mission or have questions, please go to A Place at the Table or contact Pat Dee at patdee5@yahoo.com or 507-696-2103. To make a donation:
